The foundation of brand was built in 2004 by Erdal Biyikoglu. Mr. Erdal Biyikoglu, who previously had been carrying on business in the field of textil sector in Great Britain, entered into the textile sector in Romania 8 years ago when his wife Mirela exhorted him to do this. Mr. Biyikoglu got acquainted with the country soon, and firstly offered the products of many different brands to his customers in his factory build in Romania. Mr. Erdal, who saw the future in the textile sector, build a small factory in which he could make his own productions at Braila-Romania. At that time, brand collections were created by making patters of the products selected from fashion magazines.
Mr. Erdal determined the exact demands of the customers and achieved a serious success in a short period of time with his own-produced costumes. Especially, Bella branded overcoats and reefer jackets attracted great attention of romanians
Advertisements in fashion magazines increased the market recognition of the brand day by day. With the rapid uptrend of the Bella brand, demand from wholesalers in Europe started to come. Ribatex has strengthened his production system to meet this demand, and by 2010s it has become a national brand which delivers its products to many wholesalers in Romania.
After 2010s, merchandising process gained acceleration. The multinational brands entered into Romanian market as a result of the transition to free economy constituted a challenge in the competitive environment of the sector. In 2012, in order to keep pace with this competitive environment, Ribatex has created the youth-oriented brand named Simonette which is also sold at Ribatex stores and has more affordable prices.
After 2012, development in merchandising has been attached importance. Concept Ribatex products specially designed to offer the woman customers a nice and trendy clothes. The designing staff has been reinforced with the vision of becoming an international brand which affect the world fashion.In 2012, in order to more rapidly respond to the increasing demands of the customers, Ribatex reinforced its staff .
After 2012, the brand switched from merchandising to retail management.
In 2012, within the scope of social responsibility, Ribatex prepared the Estella by Ribatex collection which is produced fabrics with specially young line.
